It is working relentlessly for integrated rural development with a focus on HRD formal and non-formal education with special reference to emancipation of women and Children.

Capacity building of rural youth for leadership qualities promotion of participatory development and utilization of natural resources including waste / wasted lands using relevant technologies and professional skills.

The evolution of Sri Avinashilingam Education Trust Institution and the numerous programmes of development, services and activities during the past five decades are the mission of great visionary Founder Dr. T.S. Avinashilingam who has dedicated his life in full to the above noble causes. It is based on this outstanding and outreaching experiment that ICAR had sanctioned the KVK to Sri Avinashilingam Education Trust Institution in the year 1979
